The HUYL wall display lifts the model off the shelf and frames it as the centrepiece of a room \u2014 a refined alternative to the usual glass cabinet, sized for the McLaren F1 and designed to enhance every line of the car.<\/p>\n

The LEGO\u00ae Technic 42228 McLaren Formula 1™ Race Car captures the McLaren MCL39 of the 2025 season \u2014 the latest evolution of Woking’s title-fighting machine. Working steering, suspension and a V6 hybrid engine animation are wrapped in the next chapter of the papaya livery, in a model developed in close collaboration with the McLaren F1 Team.<\/p>\n

The “Pur Gris”<\/strong> edition is our most refined finish: a deep, monochromatic grey background that suppresses visual noise and lets the LEGO\u00ae 42228 McLaren F1 command full attention. It is the choice of collectors who want a sober, contemporary statement piece, equally at ease in a minimalist study or a high-design living room.<\/p>\n

Behind the look sits the engineering. Every HUYL is built around a 5 mm Plexiglass panel<\/strong> \u2014 more transparent than glass and roughly 250 times tougher \u2014 paired with a solid spruce wood frame<\/strong> that doubles as the wall mount. The set hangs from genuine LEGO\u00ae Technic anchors<\/strong> (not generic hardware-store hooks), which protect the model. This reference is engineered for vertical display only: the anchor system is purpose-built around the geometry and weight of the McLaren F1. On Technic flagships, dedicated aluminium bars<\/strong> carry the load with full discretion.<\/p>\n

More than a display, it is a piece of home decor. Where a traditional glass case is bulky, expensive and requires dedicated shelves or furniture, the HUYL frees up surfaces and dresses the wall instead.
